GOLD CLAUSE
AMERICAN ACTION. (Received Tuesday, 10.5 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Monday. The United States Supreme Court upheld the Government’s right to cancel the gold clause in private bonds but ruled that Government gold obligations cannot be paid off on a dollar for dollar basis. The Administration has decided that legislation is not called for.
