Goodisson Dear Sir & Madam, Dangerous and infectious sexual diseases - sometimes called social diseases - are preying upon humanity. Too long have we shrouded them in a concealing cloak of raise modesty and prudery. Lack of knowledge concerning some of the most important facts of sex relationship has been responsible for an appalling . number of shattered minds, wrecked bodies - and premature deaths. A great number of books have been written on the subject,, but few of them are understandable to the ordinary public. It has remained for a talking picture - "Damaged Lives - to drive home tTie necessity for wholesome education about this sinister menace. "Damaged Lives" is sponsored by the British Social Hygiene Council and allied Associations throughout the world. As well as an absorbing story, "Damaged Lives" features a supplementary lecture by Dr. Gordon Bates. With delicacy and reassurance, this eminent authority gives just that knowledge and instruction which is necessary for the welfare of the community. The names appearing on this letter will surely be evidence enough of its sincerity and authority. On our recommendation, thousands of Australian men, women and youth of both sexes saw "Damaged Lives" in its extended season at the Lyric Theatre, Sydney, and we are sponsoring it throughout Australia and New Zealand in an ambition to decrease the scourge of sexual disease. We urge every adult member of the community to see "Damaged Lives". Greater Australasian Films, who distribute the picture, will shortly have a Representative visit your town to arrange a season of the picture. Might we suggest that you keep in touch with your local exhibitor, who will give you information as to when the production will likely be in your town? Yours sinoerely, % General Secretary. YOU MUST SEE “ DAMAGED (For Exhibition to Adult Audiences only.) No person under the age of sixteen years is to be allowed to view this attraction under any circumstances whatever. Commencing To-morrow, 8 p.m. COSY THEATRE, RESERVES at Perry’s; or RingTheatre 1289.
