APPEAL TO SEAMEN
r, "FOB HUMBANITY’S SAKE.” DUNEDIN, Friday. Oranges being very scarce, the Dunedin executive of the South Island Produce Association, has telegraphed as follows to Mr Clark, Dunedin secretary of the Seamen’s Union, who is in Wellington, and Mr Roberts, secretary of' the Alliance of Labour:— “ Sickness from want of oranges is rampant in Dunedin. We urge the Seamen’s Union, for humanity’s sake, tol oad the Monterey and Mariposa shipments at once, thereby retaining public sympathy.” —(P.A.)
