PLOT REVEALED
BOMB OUTRAGE ATTEMPT TO KILL MUSSOLINI. Press Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright ROME, Saturday. The admission of a plot against Signor Mussolini was for the first time revealed with the anouncement of the trial on 16th March of four accused connected with a bomb outrage at St. Peter’s on 25th June, when four were injured, one being permanently crippled. It is now alleged that the accused intended also to attempt the assassination of Mussolini by a poison gas bomb which they were making when arrested in October. The accused are Renato Cinaca, brother of Alberto Cinaca, ex-editor of the Democratic newspaper. Renato’s 20-year-old son, Claudion, and Leone Buccilioni and Pasquale Capasso, both temporary employees of the Ministry of Public Works.
Tlie indictment alleges that Renato received 6000 lire from. Alberto, who is living in Paris, for causing the explosions at St. Peter’s, and was promised 10,000 lire if he killed Mussolini. It also accuses two associates of hiring the accused, but proceedings are impossible as they are residing abroad. The accused are being tried by a speeitU tribunal. If convicted, it is expected that the first three will be executed by shooting and the fourth sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment.
