ARMY ’PLANES
SABOTAGE CHARGES. INQUIRY ORDERED. WASHINGTON, Saturday. The President has ordered an investigation into charges of sabotage of United States army aeroplanes carrying air mails. Mr George Dern, Secretary of the War Department, ‘to-night announced that an investigation would be held. He added that reports of punctured gasoline tanks, tampering with controls, and water in gasoline tanks were being investigated thoroughly, though he did not believe in the truth of such charges.
