♦ KAITUNA—-FERNRIDGE. AIOXTHLY MEETING. The Alarcli meeting of the KaitunaFernridgo Women’s Institute Avas held in the lvaituna liall on Friday. The meeting opened AA'ith the reading of the Institute creed and the singing of “The Ode to Friendship.” Airs P. R. Welch Avelcomcd Airs J. D. C. CreAve (Pahiatua), president of the Northern Federation, and Airs Austin, secretary of the Northern Federation. Airs P. R. Welch Avas re-elected president (unopposed), Airs J. Stempa and Airs A. Iveir, vice-presidents; Airs W. P. Pringle, secretary; and Airs. 11. Yates, treasurer.
Airs Austin and Airs CreAve addressed the meeting on Institute matters. Airs CreAve also demonstrated the making of novelties out of cretonne.
Arrangements Avere made for Aliss AlcMillau’s series of lectures, Avhich Avill be open to the public. Two members Avere heartily-welcom-ed.
The hostesses for the afternoon Avere Airs A. Iveir, Airs J. Stempa, Aliss N. Birch and Aliss R. Taylforth. The meeting closed AA'ith the singing of the National Anthem.
