CHANNEL EFFORT. NOT OFFICIALLY RECOGNISED. (Received Alonday, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday. The Channel Swimming Association has informed Aliss Sunnie LoAvry that it avill not grant official recognition of her swim, because she omitted to supply a chart of her course. Aliss Lowry commented: “Very Avell. I will swim it again.” MASTERTON CLUB. CHAMPIONSHIP CA RNIVAL. The Alasterton Amateur Swimming and Life Saving Club Avill hold their championship carnival in the Dixon Street Baths to-morrow (Wednesday) night, the first event taking place at 7.45 o’clock. The folloAving events avill be decided:—loo vnrds Alasterton Club championship;' 100 yards Alasterton Club breaststroke championship: 50 yauls senior handicap; 50 yards intermediate handicap, 25 yards ladies’ handicap, 25 vards junior girls’ handicap, 2o yards junior boys handicap, 100 yards relay teams race, open dive, junior dive. The admission charges are:—Adults lid, children 3d. These prices include the bathing fee.
