CARTERTON SALE. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report on their weekly sale as follows: —We had a good entry of sheep which were keenly competed for from a large attendance. We had a total clearance at the following prices:—Good b.f. lambs, 18/10; small b.f. lambs, 12/- to 15/10; woolly ewe lambs, 17/6; woolly wether lambs, 17/7; small do., 10/- to 11/-; 2-tooth ewes, 21/-; 5-year ewes, 19/-; store ewes, 10/3 to 21/1. Messsrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—We held our wrnekly sale at Carterton yesterday when we offered a big yarding to a good attendance. There m r as a very keen demand for all classes of sheep and prices were very high. Cattle and pigs sold at par prices and we made a clearance as under: —Sheep. —4 and 5-year breeding ewes, 19/- to 20/-; 2-tli to 5-yr ewes, 20/-; s.m. ewes, 12/6, 13/6, 14/6 to 15/8; 2-th ewes, to 20/-; fat ewes, 16/1 to 18/6; 2 and 4-th wethers, 21/-, 22/4 to 23/-; 2-tli wethers (small), 15/8 to 17/6; m.a. Southdown ewes, 20/3; b.f. rape lambs, 17/1, 17/3 to 17/5; medium b.f. ewes, 13/2 to 15/8; w.f. woolly ewe lambs, 16/- to 17/4; woolly wether lambs, 13/7, 14/6 to 16/-; shorn wether lambs, 12/5, 14/3 to 15/-; fat and. forward w.f. shorn lambs, 17/10; shorn ewe lambs (small), 10/7 to 12/6; fat lambs, 19/9, 22/6 to 24/-; small b.f. lambs, 9/-, 10/6 to 11/6; Southdown rams, jgn, Llgns, 2gns to 2Jgns; Romney rams, to 38/-.
