N.Z.-AUSTRALIAN TRADE
COMMISSIONER APPOINTED. (Received Friday, 10.55 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The Prime Minister (Hon. J. A. Lyons) announced that Mr R. H. Nesbitt, of Sydney, has been appointed the first Australian Trade Commissioner in New Zealand for five years at a salary of £ISOO per year. Mr Nesbitt is secretary of Distributors Commercial Co., Ltd., of Sydney. He is held in high esteem by the Australian business community and is well qualified to undertake the important work of Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, said Mr Lyons. Mr Nesbitt expects to be able _ to sever his existing 'business connections by the middle of April. He will then consult with the Commerce Department before leaving for New Zealand.
