TROOPS REBEL

IN EASTERN SIAM. (Received Friday, 12.30 p.m.) SINGAPORE, Thursday. A rising has occurred among troops in Eastern Siam, who have captured the Donmuang Aerodrome, which is the regular landing stage for air services from Europe. Thirteen kilometres from Bangkok the rebel troops encountered Government forces from the capital. Firing occurred, but not details are available. Martial law has been proclaimed.
