ODDFELLOWS’ CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Oddfellows Cricket Club last night, it was decided to enter a junior and a third grade team in the Wairarapa competitions. There was a good attendance of members. . Reference was made in the eleventh annual report to the splendid performance registered by the club’s third grade team, and to the valuable services, in connection with the team, of Bros. P. M. Smith (manager) and P. Watts (coach). Bro. M. Pool topped the batting averages, and Bro. W. Smith the bowling. Bro. Pool won the bat presented by Bro. Smith. The junior team had not been so successful as in the previous season, but had done quite well. Bro. Donaldson secured the best bowling average, and Bro. Torrance the best batting. A presentation of a bat had been made to Bro. B. Donaldson on the occasion of his departure for Auckland. Prospects for the coming season were regarded as particularly bright. Thanks were expressed to the custodians of the Park and High School grounds. The club decided to enter a junior and a third grade team in the competitions. ' Subscriptions were fixed at: —Juniors 10s, third grade 2s 6d. Bros. A. Torrance and A. Rippon were appointed delegates to the Wairarapa Cricket Association. Bro. A. P. Smith was heartily thanked for his services as secretary over a period of about 11 years. He was elected a vice-president. RED STAR CLUB. Pleasure at the success achieved by the club last season, and the hope that it would continue to prosper, was expressed by the chairman, Mr A. A. Wilson, at the annual ..meeting of the Red Star Cricket Club last night. There was a large attendance of members. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patron, Mr A. G. Corskie; president, Mr F. Brown; vice-presidents', Messrs H. Fahey, J. Betts, E. Welch, A. Neich, S. Willoughby, P. Southey, W. Finnerty, A. E. Freeman, A. A. Wilson; management committee, Messrs E. Perry, F. Clarke, C. Jackson, F. Pool and A. A. Wilson; social committee, Messrs F. Clarke, C. Hawkins, W. Percy, F. Pool, C. .Jackson; club captain, -Mr A. A. Wilson; delegates to Wairarapa Cricket Association, Messrs G. Peterson and A. E. Freeman; selection committee, team captain, vice-captain and club captain. . It was decided to enter senior and junior teams in the Wairarapa Association’s competitions. The following new members were elected:—A. Bell, A. Dixon, H. Ratner, G. Groves, G. Barr, A. Stimpson, D. Clarke, G. Longworth, F. Henson, S. Gordon. It was resolved to forward a letter of sympathy to Mr E. Welch in the illness of his wife, and wishing her a speedy recovery. Votes of thanks were passed to the secretary and to the retiring officers.

LANSDOWNE CLUB. Considerable enthusiasm was displayed by a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Lansdowne Cricket Club last night. Mr A. V. Faulknor presided, and it was stated that prospects for the ensuing season appeared very bright. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patron, Mr T. Jordan; president, Mr 11. H. Danicll; vice-presidents, Messrs P. Bortliwick, F. Cooper, F. W. Groves, S. Gilman, E. Welch, G. Whiteman, A. McKenzie, lledley, S. Gordon, J. C. Ewington, A. V. Faulknor, F. J. Miller; club captain, Mr R. Sherratt; hon. secretary, Mr G. V. Greer; hon. treasurer, Mr J. Halse; committee, Messrs D. Groves, C. Faulknor, W. Whiteman and club captain, team captain and secretary; delegates to Wairarapa Association, Messrs D. Groves, A. Whiteman, R. Sherratt; hon. auditor, Dr. Cunningham; selection committee, club captain and Messrs D. Groves and W. Whiteman. Subscriptions were fixed at 30s, reducible to 25s if paid before 30th November. It was decided to enter a team in the Wairarapa senior grade competition. The question of nominating a junior eleven was left over until next season. Several new members were elected. Votes of thanks were passed to the chairman and to the secretary for his valuable, services during the past season.
