CRICKET
UNITED CLUB TO DISBAND. At its annual meeting last night, the United Cricket Club decided to disband for one year. The withdrawal of several of the older players and a general lack of support, it Avas stated, Avas the reason for the club’s decision. United had Avon the senior championship for the past three seasons. There Avas only a small attendance at the meeting, Mr R. Clarke presiding. The United Club Avas formed many years ago and absorbed several of the old Carlton Club. The United, which has Avon the senior championship on several occasions,, is tlie last of the old Masterton clubs to disband.
