LONDON QUOTATIONS. Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from London, dated 38th August:— Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e.. including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc.): N.I. Down lambs, 2S/361b5., 7^d. N.I. Down lambs, 36/42, 7jd. Best N.I. xbd. lambs, 28/36, 7d. Best N.I. xbd. iambs, 36/42, 7d. Nil. 2nd qual. lambs, av. 30/31, 6Jd. N.I. wether sheep, 5 l-8d to 3 5-Bd. N.I. ewes, 34d to 3d. N.Z. prime ox beef, 160/220, 3jd. Compared with last week’s quotations, Down lambs, 28/36, are l-8d per lb. higher; 36/42’s, per lb. higher; xbd. lamb and 2nd quality lamb, l-8d higher; wethers, under 48 and 56/72, l-8d higher; 48/56, id per lb. higher; ewes, under 56, ;l-8d per lb. higher; 56/72, id per lb. higher. The demand is good,; market very firm all round, excepting for prime ox beef.
