REGENT THEATRE ON MONDAY. Gorgeously mounted land glittering in its splendour, the Drury ILane pantomime, “Cinderella,” will be presented at the Regent Theatre on Monday afternoon next by Messrs J. C. Williamson, Ltd., who also announce that in the evening the 'spectacular revue, “The Laugh Parade,” will be staged. The pantominie will start at 3 p.m., and judging by the large number -of people who were uniaible to gain admission at the recent matinee presentation of “Cinderella” in Masterton, the return visit of the company will be warmly welcomed. With such well-known artists as Josie Melville, who portrays Cinderella-, and Syd. Beck, wiio impersonates the Dame, the amazing Clevere-s, acrobats, and the New Big Four, vocalists, the presentation compares more than favourably with any that has previously been seen in a pantomime in the Dominion. | * “The Laugh Parade,” Frank Neil’s latest, revue, contains a host of turns of every -conceivable variety. Syd. Beck, who is seen to advantage in this production, has just received a number of clever -sketches from his London agent, aind in these he will 'appear -on Monday evening next. In addition to the new artists, which include Fred -Webber, comedian, Mr Neil brought with him from Sydney some fine scenes and lighting effects. Others in the oast are Miriam Lester, Billy Maloney, Maida Jones, Maggie Buckley Murray, and Walton and Maurice Diamond’s team of Australian -dancers. In addition, the five ‘Cleveres, -Whirlwind acrobats, who are to leave for England immediately after their New Zealand engagement, will be seen in entirely new turns.
