The first meeting of the Borough Council since the Mayoral election, was held last night, when Mr McMillan was installed as Mayor.' " j Or. C. R. Finnerty resigned the chairmanship of the Works Committee, saying that he could not agree with the policy adopted. His'resignation was accepted with regret.—(P.A.)
