Mr Stanley Baldwin, addressing 1200 delegates of the Central Council of Conservative Associations^' vigorously defended the Government’s Lidia policy against Lord Lloyd’s resolution attacking a White Paper thereon.
Mr Winston Churchill and Lord Carson supported Lord Lloyd. The meeting, by S3B to 356 votes carried all amendment postponing a decision until the joint select committee had reported.
