MASTERTON SALE. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency 00., Ltd., report on the iMasterton sale as follows: A medium entry of sheep was submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Competition was very keen for all lines, al satisfactory clearance being effected at the following prices:—Light fat ewes, 10/9; storei ewes, 7/4; fat wethers, 18/6; fat lambs, 15/-; store lambs, 10/-; f.m. ewes, r.w. S.D., 10/10. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing 'Co., Ltd., report on their sale held yesterday, when their offering consisted of 1359 sheep, 45 cattle and a few pigs. There was a. large attendance and all sheep met with animated competition. Fat ewes improved a little on rrecent prices, but the quality was exceptionally good—one pen of 30 1 making up to 14/8. Fat lambs were also good, small pens making 19/-, 20/- to 21/-. Fat wethers remained at late rates. A pen of m.a. ewes r.w. S.D. rams made up to 14/5, while good wether hog-gets made up to 11/6. Station cattle remained the same, but a little more interest was taken in dairy stock. We had a total clearance at the following prices:—Fat sheep: Good wethers, 15/6, 16/- t,o 16/6; prime heavy ewes, 14/-, 14/1 to 14/8; good ewes, 12/-, 12/3 to 13/4; light ewes, 10/-, 10/6 to 11/3; fab (Southdown e-wes, 11/3, 12/3 to 14/-; prime heavy lambs, 19/-, 20/- to 21/-; prime lambs, 14/6, 15/- to 16/-; light lambs, 12/-, 12/9 to 13/-. -Store sheep: 57 m.a. ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 14/5; small 2-th do, 12/9; aged do. 10/-; cull ewes, 4/10 to 7/7; 193 empty 2-th Corriedale cross ewes 11/-; 89 wether hoggets, 11/6; 18 do, 10/4; 109 medium wether hoggets, 9/3; other small lots of hoggets, 8/7, 9/-,
