WATCH AND MEAT STOLEN. , V, PALMERSTON'NORTH, Monday. - The butchery shop -of Mr A. Toms, in R'Visstell Street, was -entered by burglars during the week-end, and a cheque and watch and chain, estimated at a total value of £ls, was stolen. A quantity of meat was also stolen. ' ■'.Entry was -gained to the building by the -back door, which had a-n -oldfashioned 'lock, and would offer little resistance. —(P.A.)
