RECORDS BROKEN. DUNEDIN, Thursday. Competing in a 50 yards invitation scratch race at the Kind. Club’s carnival at Dunedin to-night, an intermediate swimmer, AValter Jarvis, who celebrated Ms sixteenth birthday tobeat the Canterbury swimmer, AfcConville, by a yard, in 25 second's, lowering his own New Zealand record by 1-5 of a second. Later, Jarvis beat Me Con Mile in a match race over 100 yards by a touch, in 5S l-ssecs.
Reg Geddes, intermediate breaststroke champion, made a special attempt on his own 100 yards breaststroke record of 76 2-ssecs, and succeeded in lowering it by 4-5 of a second: —(P-A.)
