ADDINGTON PRICES. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Values at the Addington market showed little change. The fat lamb and ewe schedule for export improved during the week, and this was reflected) in slightly better prices in those sections of store sheep. Stores for the most part comprised lambs, and forward sorts sold better. Quotations were:—Forward m.s., 9s to 10s 6d; medium m.s., 7s 3d to 8s 9d; ordinary, 6s to 7s; cull, 4s lOd to 5s 9d‘; wether lambs, os 9d to 6s. The best fat lambs brought 4Jd, and seconds to 4d. The best made to l'6s; prime, 13s 6d to 14s 6d; others, 9s 6d to 12s 6d.

The fat sheep entry was smaller, and better prices were realised for ewes, with wethers firm at last week’s rates. Best wethers sold at 3-Ad, and ewes at ljd. There was another lieayy entry of 375 head of fat cattle, the quality being mixed. The sale was a hard one, with further weakening in values for plain steers and inferior cows. There was a medium entry of fat pigs, and an improved sale for good baconers.' Porkers were unchanged. To a large attendance of buyers, Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., submitted at. the Johnsonville sale yesterday a full yarding of cattle, sheep and lambs. Competition was keen throughout the sale, and a good clearance was effected, the sheep and cattle sections at showing no alteration on. last week’s rates.

The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Distributing Co., Ltd., report on their usual weekly sale, held yasterday 'as follows: —Our yarding consisted of T5lO sheep, 84 cattle and 25 pigs, ■which were offered to a large attendance. The sheep entry was chiefly rape lambs and these met with an exceptionally keen demand and advanced on last week’s prices from 6d to 1/per head. The cattle made late rates, and the same can be said about the pigs.
