HOSING RESTRICTIONS. YAWING to the indiscriminate use of the Water Supply, it has become absolutely necessary ta- restrict the use of ALL HOSES/ whether Supply is metered or not. TAKE NOTICE that, as from this date, Hosing is only permitted between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., in accordance with the following Sections of the Masterton Borough General By-Laws, 1927; — 245. —(1) No person shall use for the purpose of watering any garden or for any other purpose whatever, any hose or other similar contrivance unless during the whole time of such use such hose or other contrivance shall be held by hand or directed by some competent person. 246. —No person shall use for any purpose whatsoever any revolving spray, standing sprinkler, or similar contrivance, unless during the whole time of such use the same shall be under the immediate personal care and attention of some competent person continuously present. 248. —No consumer shall use, or permit or suffer to be used his water-supply or any water therefrom to an UNREASONABLE EXTENT or in a WASTEFUL MANNER, or, if such water supply is an ordinary supply, for any of the purposes of an extraordinary supply.
