BRITISH WAR PENSIONS BILL. RUGBY, Wednesday. Striking figures regarding British AA r ar pension payments Avere given today by Major Tryon, Pensions Minister. file, said that- the beneficiaries numbered about 1,250,000, and that by the end of the present year Britain’s expenditure on Avar pensions Avould have reached the figure of £IO6O million and Avas being continued at the rate of nearly £1 million Aveekly. “These figures,” he said, “are considerably larger than the amounts j)aid by any other nation, ally or enemy, Avhich took part in the Avar. The cost of administration is less than fid in the £l. Over 90 per cent, of the disabled are now in secure possession of their title to a pension.— 8.0. W.
