AKITIO BEAT WAIRARAPA. Playing at Pongaroa on Saturday, the Wairarapa Ladies’ hoe key representatives were defeated by the Akitio representatives by 5 goals to 3, The game Avas very fast and interesting, but the home team showed more combination than the visitors, the forwards adopting the short passing game Avitli good effect. Wairarapa Avere disappointing on the day, but several members of the team Avere very sick after their long journey. This Avithout doubt affected their play. The Wairarapa ladies Avere hospitably entertained to afternoon tea and returned home on Saturday eveiling'. WAIRARAPA GAMES. All senior fixtures Avere postponed, but A and B North teams played A and B South teams at Carterton. Both games Avere drawn, the score in the A game being 2 all and in the B game 1 all.
Junior games resulted: —Gladstone beat Old Girls, 5/1; Solway College beat (High School B, 15/0; Huesher beat High School A, 2/1; Technical School a bye.
