THE ROTARY CLUB.
The Masterton Rotary Club is an institution of which the residents of the town have every reason to feel proud. In charity’s name the club acts up to the best traditions of its constitution, and in an unostentatious manner . performs many services which bring joy to the receivers, or relieve the urgent necessities of those in want. The ramifications of the club are extensive, and are confined to no sect or section of the community —wherever good can be accomplished or hardship relieved, there the Rotary Club finds work to do. The “clothes drive” that is beingundertaken by the Rotary Club, assisted by the Boy Scouts, is another direction in which the club shows its desire to assist those whose misfortune it is to be experiencing a trying time in finding work and the means of sustenance. The worthiness of the cause —the desire to help those in need of assistance—has appealed to local Rotarians, and we would ask the citizens of Masterton to assist the club in its ‘ ‘ drive, ’’ . and demonstrate once against that “Masterton’s heart” is right.
