SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. HIGH SCHOOL v. CARTERTON. The Wairarapa Cricket Association’s competition matches were continued on Saturday in fine weather. The wickets were in good order and the outfields fast. In the only senior grade match played —Featherston had defaulted to United —High School scored a comfortable first innings victory over Carterton. Technical School 86 (Roys 17) and 136 (Hemi 57, Thompson 2/) beat Oddfellows 36 and 82 (Boot 28, Dickason 14). United 49 (Reed not out 19) and m beat Carterton 44 (Wilkins 14) and 38 for 8 wickets. WELLINGTON COMPETITION. WELLINGTON, Sunday. The games in the senior championship on Saturday resulted as follow: Kilbirnie, 304, beat Hutt, 169 and 2 for 88. University, 383, beat Pctone, 169 and 7 for 112. . , Wellington, 286, beat Midland, loand 6 for 10S. Old Boys, 209, beat Institute, 170 and 7 for 284. An enjoyable cricket match was played on Saturday between teams representing Messrs Thos. Borthwick and Sons and €. E. Daniel!, Ltd. Borthwick’s won an interesting game by 19 runs.
