NEW YORK, Saturday

We are pleading with them not to be afraid to rush negotiations. After this is all o\cr they' know where they can find me. ’
Colonel Schwarzkopf, head of the State police, said that he had not intended to deny Rosner's statements, but the police bad no knowledge of Rosner and were unable to consider ins statements official.
A Hopewell report states that a material increase in the ransom demanded hv the kidnappers of the Lindbergh baliy was advanced early to-day as one explanation of the delay in the return of the child. It is reported that the original sum sought—£lb,ooo mounted in subsequent notes to Lindbergh from the abductors, who arc keeping their identity and place a close secret.
