RINK COMPETITION
Tlic Wairarapa Bowling Centre’s champion of champions rinks competition was commenced at the Featlierston Club's greens on Saturday. Six rinks took part and the first round resulted as follows: —Hart, Tucker, Hall, Kerr ( S) Carterton, heat Thompson, Dorset, Wilkinson, Baskiville (e), Mastcrton, W/ 1: !; Deas, Rolls, Sinclair, Franks (s) Featlierston beat Evans, Kilgour, Bell, Rowlands (s) Park, 26/16; McLeod, Woodward, Kenning, Vile (s) Greytown beat Lamb, Smith, Boyd, Madsen (s) Martinborough, 22/16; Franks (s) beat Vile (s), 2S/19. The games were played on the sudden death principle and Kerr, Carterton, drew the bye. Franks will play Kerr next Saturday on the C'Stcrkm .Tvecn for the final,

Some good games have been played by members of the Park Bowling Club in the handicap singles during the past week. Watson beat Newton, Reader beat Stubbings, O’Connor beat Newton.
