CRICKET

An. eleven representing the boys in training at the Penrose Harm tried conclusions with a Afastcrton V.AI.C.A. cricket team, the latter winning by the close margin of IS runs. Penrose made 112 in their innings, the best scorers being Cobb 24, Alavbury 30, Foothead 14, and Falloon 11. Cameron, for A’.AI.G.A., took six wickets for 25 runs. Y.AI.C.A.’s score totalled 130 (AlcWhinnie 22, B. Reid 43, Ross Riley 15). Alaybury took six wickets for 21 runs.

During the week-end, the United Cricket Club’s junior team played a friendly match with tho Mauriceville Club, at Alaurieeville West, the game resulting in a win for the latter team. At stumps, Mauriceville were 51 runs in the lead. The weather was perfect and the game was greatly enjoyed by all.
