In the Sheffield Shield match against Victoria, New South Wales in the first innings made MS, adding only one run to the overnight score. Ironmonger took three wickets for 93 runs; Darling two for 39; McCormick, two for 42.
Victoria in the first innings made 204, Oakley 48, Ryder 20, and Nagel 30. McCabe took three for 57; O’Reilly, three for 53; and Hird, two for 25. New South Wales in the second innings scored 24 without the loss of' a wicket. /
In grade matches, Wells (Paddington) took eight for 38 off 13 overs against University. Bassett, for Mossman, took six for 46 against Gordon.
