WAIRARAPA TOURNEY.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS,

Again favoured by ideal weather the Wairarapa Lawn Tennis Association’s annual tourney was advanced towards the concluding stages yesterday. There was a large attendance and spectators were rewarded with a number of fine contests in which the tennis was of a high standard. It is hoped to conclude the tournament to-day.

In the third round of the men’s championship singles, E. M. Ilodder was defeated by J. N. Lowry, of Hawke’s Bay. The match went to three sets, Lowry winning the first 0/2, Ilodder taking the second 0/2, and Lowry the third 0/3.
