SUCCESSFUL meeting. The annual sports meeting of tho Langdale Athletic Sports Sffiety was held in the Langdale Domaimon Saturday. There were good entries for the various events and, despite the rain which fell steadily during the afternoon, necessitating the abandonment.of most of the foot events, the meeting proved a most successful one. The horses and horsemanship of the riders were well up to the standard cf previous years. The meeting was run in a most efficient manner, reflecting gi;eat credit on the joint secretaries, Messrs. W. G-. Rutherford and W. V. Madden, and the officials of the club. During the afternoon the visitors included the Hon. A. D. McLeod and Mr W. A. Irons of the Dairy Board.
