Rain during the'-past two or three days has been steady in the hills, and the Hutt River has again flooded. Some of the low-lying lands in the Valley have been covered with water and bridges on the Akatarawa T!oad damaged. In the Taita Gorge the scouring of the main road to the Wairarapa, which 'began in the last big flood, has resumed and workmen are finding it difficult to keep the way open for traffic.
