Air E. Krahagen, of Alasterton, is on a' visit to Auckland. It is understood that Mr >B. L. P. Free intends to resign from the Trust Lands Trust. A New York cable states that Harold Lloyd, the screen comedian, is seriously ill from appendicitis. An operation has been performed. The friends of Airs G. Dryden, of ALauriceville, will regret to hear that she is at present an inmate of Glenwood Hospital, Alasterton. Mr S. L. P. Free, of Alasterton, left by the “Alakura” from Wellington yesterday afternoon on a visit t° ■ land and the Continent. Air Ft j accompanied by Airs Free.

The Board of Directors of the Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operative Association Ltd. has pleasure in intimating that « Air Thomas Jordan, ALA., L-L.8., barrister and solicitor of Masterton, has accepted appointment to the Board, vice Air J. Caselbcrg, who lias resigned therefrom.

Clark, of Hamilton, has been appointed permanent Clerk of the Court at Pahiatua and takes over his duties at ail early date.

Ebbett, Stubbings, and Fisher.

Porter, the ex-A-ll Black captain, decided to visit England before going to Canada, and accordingly cancelled lys passage by the Aorangi and booked on the Tainui, which will leave Wellington for England this morning. Mr Porter stated j-cstorday that though he would still be a keen follower of Rugby, he intention of playing again. giving liis attention strictly to- business matters and it was solely on this account that he was making the trip to England. *He proposed to spend some time in England and then visit Canada.
