TRADE DEPRESSION.
IN COUNTY DISTRICTS. SHOPKEEPERS APPEAL. SYDNEY, Sunday. The extent and effects of the depression in the country districts were revealed at a meeting .of storekeepers held at Riverina, thirty-one of whom submitted outstanding accounts totalling £1,070,000 or an average of £30,000 each. The storekeepers are appealing to the Government for temporary relief, as they declare they cannot bear the burden of financing farmer's and graziers any longer.
