RIFLE SHOOTING.

MASTERTON-OPAKI CLUB. Eighteen members of the MastertonOpaki Rifle Club mustered on .Saturday afternoon at the Fairvi'ew Range, to shoot over the long ranges, SOO and 900 yards. A fairly stiff breeze was blowing upon commencing at the 800 yards mound, and consequently the scores were not as high as usual, 47 by K. MeCalmont being the best. L. Knight and R. McPherson were the next best, with 44 each. At 900 yards, the conditions were no better, 46 by D. McCalmont and E. M. Wrigley being the best.
