“PRIME CANTERBURY.” LONDON, Thursday. At a gathering of two hundred of the New Zealand Old Boys’ Association at the Hotel Victoria, Sir Thomas Wilford, introducing Mr Forbes as “not only--Prime Minister, but Prime Canterbury, one of the best half-backs New Zealand produced,” said that Mr Forbes was now playing forward in the Empire trade game. Mr Forbes, responding as a New Zealander who loved his country, said that the sympathised with New Zealand exiles living in London, but was proud of their achievements.
