RUN INTO BY MOTOR CAR.

NIGHTWATCHMAN KILLED.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Sunday.

Roderick James Spiers, a nightwatchman employed by the Otago Harbour Board, was riding his motor cycle down Albany Street shortly after nine o’clock on Saturday evening and was just turning into the main highway when he was run into by a motor car, being killed almost instantaneously. Deceased was about 40 years of age and was married.

At an inquest this afternoon before Mr 11. W. Bundle, S.M., evidence of identification was given by Sergeant Boulton, after which the inquest was adjourned sine die.
