BRITISH MINING.

OUTPUT AND PRICES,

LIMITATION SCHEME.

RUGBY, Saturday.

The coal owners met and considered the final draft for the co-ordination of the district marketing schemes, under which the output and prices will be limited. Almost the whole of the country will be covered by the schemes of the Central Co-ordinating Committee.

The newspapers state that the scheme will be submitted to the Government next week, when a further meeting between the coal owners and the Government in connection with the projected legislation will be held.

Conversations with the miners’ representatives also are still proceeding, and the -whole situation in the mining industry was further reviewed at an interview between members of the Government, headed by the Lord Privy Seal, Mr Thomas, and representatives of the Miners’ Federation. The conversations have not yet been completed. — 8.0. W.
