ALLEGED CONSPIRACY
TO DEFRAUD BOOKMAKER.

When the hearing of charges, ,against William McKinnon and Wallace 'Fountain, of allegedly conspiring to defraud Arthur Yeo, bookmaker, by means of forged telegrams, were continued this morning, Yeo gave evidence off- numerous £lO and £2O bets madfj by’ telegrams signed ‘‘Symons,’ ’ the majority of theUets being on winners. Ow.jgg to the difference in the time of j!«ment and the receipt of the telegram waging £2O on Plying Prince which paid £l2/2/6, witness asked the Department to inquire. Some vears ago he refused to accept bets with McKinnon as the latter failed tj settle. Bad he known Symons was really M<Kinnon he would not have taken his bets. •
