A DISAGREEMENT. UNION PRESIDENT RESIGNS. (By Telegraph: —Press Association.) MARTON, Thursday. A sequel to the recent controversy between the Wanganui and Bush Rugby unions regarding the match Bush versus Rangitikei, was heard at Marton to-day. After a lengthy discussion, in which implications of misrepresentation by ihjt Rangitikei delegates to the Wanganui Council were made, the meeting became strained* leading to a demand by the Wanganui president (Dr. Adapfts) that the Rangitikei delegates wrifcriraw the imputations. This was refused, and thereupon Dr. Adams declared his intention of resigning. The meeting carried a vote. of confidence in Dr. Adams, but the latter persisted in his demand and the resignation took place, The decision has created a sensation, 4knce it is the first occasion in New football history that a president has resigned because of allegations by a sub-union.
