MASTERTON SALE.

‘The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. .Distributing Co., Ltd., report on their Masterton sale as follows: —We had only an entry of three pens of sheep, which were sold well up to late rates, as follow: —Aged ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 275; store ewes, 16s 9d; woolly lambs, 23s 7d; 1 'Jersey bull, £5 5s- 6 porkers, 3.15. Dalgety and Co., 'Ltd., report on the Masterton sale as follows: —A good yarding of sheep was submitted to a largo attendance of buyers. Competition was exceptionally keen throughout the sale, with prices well in advance of rtcent sales at this centre. The following is the range of prices:—247 fan. ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 34s sd; 593 woolly wether lanrbs, 2 7s< 7d (these two lines being sold in conjunction .with the W.F.'C.A.); empty ewes, 245; cull 2-tooth wethers, 265; medium woolly lambs, 23s 9d; cull lambs, 12s to 15s. Tho Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, ltd. (Stock Department) report as follows: —We offered a total of about 1500 sheep, 830 of which were sold in conjunction with Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., on account of the Waingawa Works’ farm account. Competition throughout was animated, and in comparison with other recent sales prices were well established. The Waingawa consignment was particularly good throughout and made corresponding prices. In our own list our principal offering in ewes was on account of Mr J. Hudson, from his Mauriceville farm. These also made full values under the hammer. We report as follows: —250 s.m. ewes, r.w. S.D., account Waingawa, -34 s sd; 100 m.a. do., account J. , Hudson, 345; 100 do., 32s 9d; on account other vendors, 33 m.a. ewes, r.w. S.D., 29s 3d; 91 do., 29s Id; 41 do., 295; 51 do., 28s 6d; 16 do., 27s 6d; 9 do., 27s 9d; 43 empty ewes, 25s Sd; 33 woolly ewe ! lambs, 27s 9d; 589 woolly wether lambs, j on account Waingawa, 24s 7d; others, 22 woolly wether lambs, 245; 19 b.f. lambs, 20s 2d; medium w.f. wether lambs, 16s Id, 16s 6d to 17s; 13 for-
