EMPIRE WEEK.
DISPLAYS IN MASTERTON. ARRANGEMENTS FOR TO-MORROW All persons possessing ilags are requested to fly them to-morrow, Empire Day, so as to give the town a gala appearance. In the evening, from to 8.30, gramophone selections will be given by Arts and Crafts from Messrs C. E. Daniells’ balcony; radio broadcast items will be given at Mr G. Bilderbeck’s shop, an.d Papatrope selections at Mr W. G. Perry’s shop. A programme will lie played at the Post Office, from 8.80 to 9.30 p.m., by the Masterton Municipal Band.
At the Optimists’ ‘luncheon to-day, an address appropriate to Empire Shopping Week was given by Councillor A. Fletcher.
