CAUGHT IN THE ACT.
TINKER AND BURGLAR. EIGHT HOUSES ROBBED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. Henry Patrick Aloore, 38, pleaded guilty in the Alagistrate’s Court to eight charges of breaking and entering various houses early this month and committing theft. The police said the accused travelled round as a tinker. He broke leadliglits over doors or windows, and then opened the catches. In all he had taken £IOO worth of goods and jewellery from the eight houses. He was caught in the act in a Sydenham house. The accused -was committed for sentence. No bail was applied for.
