RANGITUMAU DANCE.

lu pursuance with a policy outlined by the Rangitumau Hall Committee, a social evening, in the form of a dance, will be held at the Hall on the evening of the 25th. This dance is being held in conjunction with the Rangitumau Social Club, an organisation which has been m existence for the past two years, and formed with the object of bringing the settlers and their families into closer touch with each other. That it has been successful has been •pioved beyond question, judged by the attendance at the weekly gatherings, and a great measure of the success belongs, no doubt, to a very capable committee.

During the winter the last Friday of each month is set aside for a long night, and next Friday evening will mark the second dance of the season. While these entertainments are arranged in the ’interests of the district, a hearty welcome is always extended to visitors, and a very happy time is assured them. For the convenience of visitors from town, a bus will leave the Post Office at an advertised hour.
