WEDDING.
PEEK—POLSON. Tiie wedding took place at St. Matthew’s Church on December 27th of Miss Joan Poison* eldest- daughter of Mr and Mrs C. .1. Poison, of Bannister street (late -of-Morison’s Bush), to Mr Charles- lvlward Peek, eldest son of Miami Mrs Charles Peek, of Waikawa road, Picton. The Rev. Bullock was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her .father, wore a frock of crepe do chine and silver lace, and carried a bouquet of white lilies and roses. The beautiful wedding veil (which was lent by an aunt, of the bride, Airs J. L. Churehouse) was held in place by orange blossoms. Aliss Freda Poison attended her sister as bridesmaid, and wore a frock of pale blue, with hat to match. She also carried a bouquet of pale pink swebt peas and carnations. Mr Robert Gilpin supported the bridegroom as best man. The bridegroom's present to the bridesmaid was a handbag'. ' After the ceremony the wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents, where the usual toasts were honoured. Later the young couple left for a trip to the South Island, the bride travelling in a smart fawn three-piece suit of fine repp and crepe, de chine, with small hat. Their future home will be near.
