METHODIST BIBLE CLASSES
ANNUAL CONVENTION. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The New Zealand Methodist Young Men’s Bible Class movement commenced its seventh annual 'convention under the chairmanship of the president (Mr R. S. Maunder) to-day. Appointments are to be made for Auckland, Taranaki and Otago. Mr Will Donnelly, of Auckland, was unanimously appointed travelling organiser of tlie movement for 1928, in succession to Mr G. Cyril Burton, who declined re-appointment after oc-eupy-position during the past four years. The Rev. A. N. Scottcr, 8.A., gave an interesting address»yesterday afternoon on his recent visit to the Methodist mission field in the Solomon Islands, with special reference to the work being done by Dr. Ted Sayers, who is being supported in the field by the Young Men’s Bible-class movement. During the remainder of the afternoon and the evening, consideration of remits from unions involving important matters of policy and organisation were discussed.
