DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
BUILDINGS BURNED. OTESTS’ NARROW ESCAPE. (Received Thursday. 9.40 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. A lire at Gordonvale, near Cairns, destroyed several buildings, including the Commercial Hotel, the guests of which barely escaped in their night attire. The damage is estimated at £30,000.
