OBITUARY.
SERGEANT N. MILLER. The death occurred at Masterton on Alonday morning of Sergeant N. Miller, a former sergeant of police stationed at Alasterton, -who had lived here since his retirement from the Police Force in 1921. The late Sergeant Miller was 71 years of age, and was born in County Donegal, Ireland. Prior to coming to Alasterton he was stationed in Central Otago. He was a member of the Alasterton Bowling C-lub, m;mager of Knox Church, and a member of tfte Ala sonic fraternity. lie is survived by his widow and a family of three daughters and two sons. The daughters arc Airs G. S. Devonport (Napier), Airs A. Gregor (Greytown), and Airs Prior (Alasterton),mind , the sons are Messrs A. Aliller (A\ cHj ton) and N. Aliller (Alasterton). The funeral took place this morning, and the large and representative attendance bore testimony to the wide popularity of the late Sergeant Miller. The pall-bearers were Sergeant Dyer, Constable Devine, Alessrs T. F. Watson, G. 1). Wilson. 11. G. Alexander and Alex Young. The service at the graveside was conducted bv the Rev. John Davie.
