DOMINION STATISTICS. (By Telegraph—Prers Association.) WELL 7 XGTON, Thursday, A census of the stocks of flour, wheat and oats in the Dominion was taken at November 30th, 1927, and the results, are given below. The returns were received covering all the stocks owned or stored by millers, merchants and farmers throughout the Dominion. The corresponding figures “or November 30th, 192 G, are in parentheses:— Flour. 10,123 tons (17,065 tons); wheat (all-bushels), in grain, Tuscan or Long. ftvpty (N.Z.), 930,15 S (349,0.63); Hunter's varieties (N.Z.), 281,287 (o8,30I); A'elyct or Pearl (N.Z.J, 87,108 (19,624)- other, inciiluiiig Australian and unspecified 31,880), 65,614; total millin a t, 3*3,473 (492,601); other than milling, 162,414 (92,010); in stack (estimated), 13,103 7,554). Oats (all bushels), in grain, 1,229,640 (1,4-4,-777 j; in stack (estimated) for threshing, 155,737 (29,071): for - chaffing. 09,578 (34,649).

Ivuddenklau, of Glenai y, Ims just returned from Christchurch, where he met some of the leading flour millers, to whom he submitted a scheme for the stabilisation of the prices of wheat. As Air Jtuddenklau is the largest single grower of wheat m New Zealand, his represenations always carrv weight, and the millers have promised to go fully into the scheme, been use, if practicable, it will have the effect of bringing the millers and the wheat growers together.
