JOHNSONVILLE SALE. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the Johnsonville sale as follows:—Owing to the Christmas holidays, the sale was a double, .one (no sale will be held next week); consequently there was a larger yarding than usual, particularly of lambs. Sheep sold on a par with late rates. Lambs were of average quality, and met with a keen demand, while any pens of really prime lambs were eagerly sought after. A small yarding of cattle was offered, and prices showed a slight advance on last week’s sale. Quotations: Wethers, 26s 6d, 27s 6d to 31s. ■ Ewes, heavy, 255. Ewes, good, 23s to 23s Id. Lambs, extra prime, 30s 6d; lambs, prime, 26s 3d, 27s 3d, 27s 4d, 28s 6d to 295; lambs, average, 23s 9d, 24s 4d to 24s 6d; lambs, light, 21s to 22s 6d. Bullocks £ll 17s 6d, £l2 ss, £l2 7s Gd, £l2 15s, £l3, £l3 ss, £l3 7s 6d, £ls 12s Gd. Cows £8 to £8 15s. Vealcrs, £1 16s, £2 19s 6d, £3 7s 6d to £3 14s. ' Porkers, 34s 6d.
